This Gaiwan is made with high-firing coarse-grained clay and fired in a wood fire kiln at high-firing temperature. The teapot is glazed outside with green colour and some variations of colour and some red colour occurred during the fire. It is incredibly durable after firing, with little to no absorption. 

They are fully hand made so that the one you receive might be different to the one showing in the picture.  Please email us if you would like to see more pictures.
