We host three carefully curated Tea Tours to China, offering a rare opportunity to explore the origins of some of the world’s finest teas while meeting the incredible tea masters behind them.
Led by Juyan, owner of The Chinese Tea Company, these immersive tours provide an exclusive insight into tea cultivation, processing, and production. With her deep connections in China’s tea industry, Juyan will guide you through renowned tea gardens, factories, and pottery workshops, sharing insights into the intricate world of Chinese tea.
Each journey is designed to take you deep into China’s most famous tea regions. In Yunnan, you will visit the birthplace of Puer tea, exploring ancient tea trees and learning the history of this unique fermented tea. Traveling through Zhejiang, you will experience the world-famous Longjing (Dragon Well) tea and witness the meticulous hand-processing techniques that make it so revered. A visit to Yixing will introduce you to its renowned artisanal clay teapots, where you’ll see master craftsmen at work. In Wuyi Mountain, you will immerse yourself in the world of bold rock oolongs, trekking through the stunning landscapes that shape these teas. In Fujian, a province celebrated for its delicate white teas and fragrant oolongs, you will meet tea masters, walk through scenic plantations, and taste exceptional teas rarely found outside China.
Each tour is scheduled to coincide with the tea harvest season, ensuring you witness—and possibly participate in—the delicate process of tea production. Along the way, Juyan will share her deep knowledge of tea tasting, culture, and history, offering an experience unlike any other.
Beyond tea, these tours also provide the opportunity to visit cultural landmarks, explore historic towns, and experience the rich culinary delights of China. Enjoy authentic regional cuisine, wander through ancient streets, and soak in the vibrant traditions that make China such a fascinating destination.
