This teapot is made with high-firing coarse-grained clay and fired in a wooden kiln at high-firing temperature. The teapot is glazed outside and unglazed inside with uneven dark red colour. It is incredibly durable after firing, with little to no absorption.
This teapot can be used for brewing any types of tea, particularly good for roasted oolongs such as Traditional Tie Guan Yin, Wu Yi Rock Tea and Phoenix Dan Cong. Because the clay is coarse-grained clay with no glaze inside the pot, it would absorb small amount of the tea's flavour, I would suggest to only brew tea with similar flavour profile.
Each pot is fully handmade, there will be slight difference among pots, please let us know if you would like to have more pictures for the one you would to purchase.
