The most famous green tea in China, Long Jing (also known as dragon well) is known for its symmetrical flat leaves and the distinct toasty yet fresh aroma. Although Long Jing originated in Hangzhou city, nowadays it is produced in a much wider area resulting in great variety of quality and flavour.
Our Big Buddha Dragon Well (or Da Fo Long Jing in Chinese) comes from Xiang Chang County in Zhejiang province. Gown at 400m altitudes this tea is farmed far away from any industrial hazards and pollution. We have personally selected this Da Fo Long Jing because of its highly skilled producers, the climate it is grown in and the long production history of tea in the area.
The pan-fried yellowish green leaves yield clear golden liquor with a sweet and round aroma. Da Fo Long Jing produces warm nutty flavour with hints of toasted sesame seeds and underlining savoury character. The texture is smooth and silky, and this tea leaves a long lasting mellow aftertaste with a slight finishing dryness.
