The design of round body and three legs of this teapot is inspired by the Ding which are prehistoric and ancient Chinese cauldrons. Ding were made in the round vessels with three legs and used for cooking, storage, and ritual offerings to gods or ancestors.
The clay is Zhu Ni which is famous for its outstanding performances because of the less impurity, extremely fine particles, rich in iron. This teapot would be a good choice for brewing any ball-shaped oolong teas, Puer Teas and Red Tea.
All our Yixing teapots are fully handmade, we only have one of a kind in stock.
